Houston Chronicle Cruise Section

Just thought I would take a second to give a shout out to the Houston Chronicle and their Cruise section.  They do a pretty good job reviewing cruises and distributing information that is helpful for anyone considering a cruise. The have some fairly recent reviews of the Galveston cruise ships which I found interesting.

What I like about the Chronicle is that they are fairly objective with their information and accurate with their facts.  So many other “travel blogs” are nothing more than pitching someones products.  I appreciate the objectivity.

Parc 55 Hotel in San Francisco

This morning I noticed an article that the Parc 55 in San Francisco was undergoing a renovation.

I stayed at the Parc 55 during my trip to San Francisco in July.  I’ve stayed at half a dozen other hotels in the Market District and Parc 55 is definitely my favorite.

A couple of the things I enjoyed were the location, decor of the rooms, and the price.  When I return to San Francisco, they will be on the top of my list.

It’s the little things that Hotel’s do that really impress me.  They were nice enough to cash a check for me since my banks ATM system seemed to be down…again!

By the way, if you want a bit of added comfort stay in a suite.  Mine came with a treadmill in the room which as we all know in my book is better than any other amenity someone could offer!

My goal for the next six months

Part of what attracted me to the travel business was the ability to create authentic content of interesting places I have visited.  I’m not talking about cut and pastes of other peoples content, I’m talking about pictures I have taken, videos I have shot, and things I’ve experienced.  All penned (or typed as the case may be by yours truly!)

I’ve identified three cruises and three resorts and established a goal to visit all of these in the next six months.  Once I get the details firmed up, I’ll post them.

Also, to all of the folks I saw out Friday night that mentioned an awareness of what I am doing, THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!  Also, thank you to the couple of new friends I made that listened to my vision! There isn’t better validation for me than someone mentioning that they are aware of what I’m doing.

Attention Guys – Singles Cruise for March 2 from Galveston

OK guys, it’s time to step up and reserve your spot on the singles cruise leaving March 2 from Galveston on the Carnival Ecstasy.

It’s time to step up because so far I only have deposits from women!  I suppose that if I am the only guy going on a cruise with 24 women, I can handle it, but some of these very nice women might like to meet someone other than me!

This cruise is limited to single men and women between 35 and 50 years old who reside in the Greater Houston area.

Departs at 4:00pm on Monday, March 2.
Happy Hour – Get Together in the Neon Bar from 6:00 – 7:00pm

Initial deposit of $275 is due November 28th.  Initial deposit is non-refundable.

I am expecting 48 people for this trip, so it will be small and intimate.
